Cast Iron Surface Plate is a high-precision benchmark tool widely used in mechanical measurement, workpiece inspection, marking, and assembly. It serves as a flat reference plane for testing the flatness, parallelism, and dimensional accuracy of workpieces, playing an irreplaceable role in precision manufacturing and quality control.
Made of high-quality gray cast iron HT200-HT300,the surface plate undergoes strict heat treatment processes—including high-temperature artificial annealing(600-700℃)and secondary aging treatment. This effectively eliminates internal stress, prevents deformation, and ensures excellent thermal stability and wear resistance, even under long-term use and environmental temperature changes.
The working surface is precision-machined(grinding or scraping)to achieve different accuracy levels:Grade 0,1,2,3,and finish-planed grade.Grade 0 and 1 are suitable for high-precision measurement and inspection, while Grade 2 and 3 meet general industrial assembly and marking needs. The surface is smooth and free of defects, with optional T-slots or mounting holes for clamping workpieces conveniently.
Its bottom adopts a reinforced rib structure(grid or well-type)to enhance overall rigidity and load-bearing capacity, ensuring no deformation under heavy loads.Widely applied in machinery manufacturing, auto parts, aerospace, and metrology laboratories,it is a durable,cost-effective basic precision equipment.Regular cleaning and anti-rust maintenance can extend its service life significantly.
