Marble platforms must meet extremely strict performance criteria.They require ultra-high surface flatness and consistent dimensional stability,unaffected by normal temperature fluctuations due to extremely low linear expansion coefficients.They need excellent rigidity and load-bearing capacity to avoid deformation under heavy workpieces.They feature non-magnetic properties to prevent interference with precision electronic or magnetic component measurements,strong corrosion resistance to resist acids,alkalis and industrial contaminants,and outstanding wear resistance to maintain long-term precision without frequent maintenance.
The preferred raw material is dense,fine-grained natural granite with Mohs hardness of 6–7 and exceptional natural aging(formed over hundreds of millions of years)to eliminate internal residual stress.The manufacturing process includes precision cutting,multi-stage grinding and lapping,with constant temperature and humidity workshop conditions strictly controlled during fine grinding.Accuracy grades are classified as 000,00,0,and 1,tailored to different precision requirements.No additional heat treatment is needed compared to metal platforms,while edge chamfering and anti-slip treatments enhance operational safety.
Quality inspection complies with GB/T 20428,ISO 8062,and ASTM standards,using optical flat testing and CMM(Coordinate Measuring Machine)for flatness and dimensional verification.Applications span across CNC machining centers,metrology laboratories,aerospace component testing,mold manufacturing,and semiconductor equipment calibration.Daily maintenance requires avoiding heavy impact(granite is brittle),cleaning with neutral detergents,and placing on vibration-isolated bases to further optimize measurement stability.
