A 2D welding table is a precision, modular workbench designed for welding, positioning, assembly, and inspection of metal workpieces.Unlike 3D welding tables with multi-sided working surfaces,it only provides a single horizontal working plane, making it simple, stable, and cost-effective for most conventional welding and fabrication tasks.
The table surface is machined with a uniform grid of round or square holes, usually at standard pitches such as 50mm×50mm or 100mm×100mm,with common hole diameters of 16mm and 28mm.These holes allow quick installation of positioning pins, clamping devices, angle blocks, and other accessories, enabling fast and accurate workpiece fixing without repeated marking or custom jigs.
Most 2D welding tables are made of high-strength cast iron HT250/HT300 or Q355 carbon steel.Cast iron versions offer outstanding vibration damping, stability, and resistance to deformation after aging treatment, suitable for high-precision work.Steel plate tables feature high load capacity and durability, ideal for heavy-duty welding projects.Common surface treatments include precision grinding, black oxide finish,anti-spatter coating, and nitriding to improve wear resistance and extend service life.
With high flatness and dimensional accuracy, the table ensures consistent welding quality. It supports flexible combination and expansion, allowing multiple tables to be spliced for larger workpieces.Typical applications include sheet metal fabrication, steel structure welding, mechanical assembly, fixture debugging, and small-to-medium workpiece processing. Its simple structure, easy operation, and high adaptability make it widely used in welding workshops, manufacturing plants, and maintenance facilities.
