What heat treatment process for 3D flexible welding table?
Full English Explanation
The mainstream raw material of 3D flexible welding tables is HT250/HT300 grey cast iron.Three standard heat treatment procedures are adopted to eliminate internal stress, maintain flatness precision and resist welding thermal deformation.
Stress relief annealing(blank primary heat treatment)
Cast blanks are heated to 550–600℃,heat preserved for 4–8 h,then cooled slowly with the furnace. It removes internal casting stress produced in solidification, preventing long-term warpage and flatness deviation caused by repeated welding high temperature impact.
Low-temperature artificial aging(post-machining treatment)
After rough machining including milling, drilling and surface grinding, the workpiece undergoes 200–280℃low-temperature aging to release cutting residual stress, locking stable dimensional tolerance for long-term batch welding production.
Local surface tempering(heavy-duty tabletop enhanced treatment)
For ultra-heavy load welding platforms, local tempering is carried out to upgrade thermal fatigue resistance and wear resistance, reduce surface pits and local deformation generated by welding spatter and cyclic high temperature.
If the above heat treatment procedures are omitted or incomplete, the table surface will gradually lose flatness, causing fixture positioning offset and unqualified assembly dimensional tolerance during welding processing.
