Support legs are critical components of a 3D welding table, as they directly affect stability, load capacity, working height and operational comfort. When selecting support legs, you should focus on load-bearing requirements, working height, structure type, and application scenarios.
First, choose according to load capacity. For light and medium‑duty D16 tables used for small workpieces, standard lightweight support legs are sufficient. For heavy‑duty D28 tables used for large steel structures, engineering machinery frames and heavy workpieces, heavy‑duty reinforced support legs with thicker profiles and stronger rigidity must be used to avoid deformation or shaking.
Second, confirm the working height. Normal operating height ranges from 650mm to 850mm. Fixed-height legs are economical and stable, while height-adjustable legs are more flexible and can adapt to different operators and production needs. Some models also support fine leveling to maintain table flatness.
Third, select the structure style. Single vertical legs are compact and space‑saving, suitable for small and medium‑sized tables. Legs with cross beams and reinforcing ribs provide higher overall rigidity and are recommended for large‑size or high‑load welding tables.
Fourth, consider auxiliary functions. For mobile production needs, legs with universal casters and foot cups allow easy movement and firm locking. For industrial workshops with uneven ground, legs with leveling pads help ensure stable placement and precision retention.
In general, small precision welding stations can choose economical fixed support legs, while heavy engineering and large structural welding requires heavy‑duty, reinforced support legs. If flexibility and mobility are needed, adjustable or caster‑mounted support legs are the ideal choice.
