Difference Between D28 and D16
The standard hole diameters for 3D flexible welding tables are mainly 16mm and 28mm,usually referred to as D16 system and D28 system. These two systems differ in hole spacing, load capacity, rigidity and application scenarios.
The D16 system has a hole diameter of 16 mm and a standard grid spacing of 50 mm×50 mm.With denser positioning holes,it provides finer adjustment and higher positioning accuracy. The tabletop is relatively thinner and suitable for light to medium load work.It is mainly used for small precision workpieces, sheet metal parts, electrical cabinets, automotive parts and other products that require high precision and flexible positioning.
The D28 system has a hole diameter of 28 mm and a grid spacing of 100 mm×100 mm.It features a thicker tabletop, higher rigidity, and much stronger load-bearing performance. The fixtures matched with D28 are also more robust and durable. This system is designed for heavy-duty workpieces such as large steel structures, engineering machinery parts, vehicle frames, and heavy equipment components.
In addition, fixtures and positioning pins for D16 and D28 are not interchangeable.Users should choose the corresponding hole system based on workpiece size, weight and precision requirements to ensure stable clamping and reliable welding performance.
